As the Diocese fights food insecurity, the agricultural department has started its move to supply cassava stem tubers as well demonstrating how best it should be grown to have good harvest.
Cassava flour and all cassava products are a staple meal for the Bakonzo Culture but surprisingly, cassava production in Kasese district has become low due to the alleged poor farming methods. Therefore, the diocesan agricultural department has embarked on supplying cassava stem tubers to increase on our cassava production as well as demonstrating to the farmers how best they should practice farming for good harvests.
