Diocesan Secretary Ven. Nelson Walina

Born on February 15, 1964 from Mahango, Ven. Walina started as a Catechist at Rwebitoke C.O.U, became a Lay reader from 1996 – 2001 at Ibanda C.O.U. He was Ordained on December 05, 2004 and became the Vicar at Karambi Parish from 2005 – 2007. He was ordained in the order of Priesthood on December 04, 2005 and from 2008 – 2013 became the Archdeacon for Kisinga Archdeaconry, and from 2014 – 2018 was the Archdeacon for Kasese Archdeaconry and also was assigned as the Diocesan Personnel.

Prior to becoming the Diocesan Secretary, Ven. Nelson Walina was the Provost at All Saints Pro-Cathedral in Kasese town.

He holds a Bachelor of Theology and Divinity.

He is interested in preaching, pastoralia and gardening.

As the Diocesan Secretary, Rev. Ven. Nelson Walina is desired to strengthen and promote Spiritual leadership and faith, fellowships, as well as ensuring that the Diocese achieves its goal in its ten-year Development Strategic Plan.
