Christians in South Rwenzori Diocese have been gifted with goats in the campaign of Economic empowerment and the fight against poverty.

This follows the Diocesan 10-year Strategic Plan of ensuring a poverty free community by 2030 through self sustainability by establishing income generating projects. Over 200 Christians from seven Archdeaconries of Nyamwamba, Kasese, Maliba, Ibanda, Kitholhu, Kinyamaseke and the St. Paul’s Deanery have so far benefited from the project in the First phase. The remaining seven Archdeaconries to make a total of 14 are expected to benefit in the second phase.
