About 56 motorcycles have been given out to Parishes in Hard to Reach Areas across the Diocese by the Office of the Bishop to help them in effective ministry and pastoral work. Due to the terrain of their areas of operation, a motorcycle was the best means of transport to support ministerial work in their respective areas.
Sharing the Good News
The mission and evangelism department aims at winning people to Jesus Christ for a better life through preaching and teaching the Good News.
Its core values are commitment to service, love and care for others, believers’ integrity, transparency in service delivery, nondiscrimination in service provision and solution-oriented innovations. The goals of the department include reaching all members of the family with the gospel of Jesus Christ, training believers in preaching, prayer and Bible study, and discipling and following up with believers.

Mothers’ Union
The Mothers’ Union of South Rwenzori Diocese is an organization of married women whose aim is the advancement of the Christian faith in the sphere of marriage and family life.
Fathers’ Union
The Fathers’ Union is an organization similar to the Mothers’ Union, but for married men. It is still in the planning process and will be launched at the diocesan level soon. Its activities include fellowship, Bible studies, and gospel choirs that minister to congregations.
Christian Women in Ministry
Christian Women in Ministry is an independent organization under the Mothers’ Union. It is a fellowship of Christian women who are mentored for salvation, and is especially focused on those who are not married but still want to be involved in the church. Like the Fathers’ Union, it is still under development and will be officially launched at the diocesan level in the future. Its activities include fellowship, prayer, and income generating activities.
Intercession and Counseling
This unit holds an annual intercessors conference to train intercessors and intercede for various prayer items. This program is conducting regular prayer fellowships in most churches of the diocese and practicing counseling, healing and deliverance.
Words of Hope Ministry Uganda
This ministry proclaims the gospel through broadcasting on Radio Messiah to spread the word of God. Under this ministry, we have the following programs: preaching and teaching God‘s word, a talent show that involves Bible reading and a church hymns competition, morning glory prayers, and healing and deliverance on air. The ministry enables the proclamation of the Gospel to wider listenership even beyond our diocese.
Deep Roots
With support from UK partners, this unit carries out discipleship training targeting youth, enabling them to be deeply rooted in the word of God for effective discipleship.
