The South Rwenzori Diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku has discouraged the population in Kasese district from the continued consumption of contaminated meat commonly known as Sanga.
Bishop Baluku expresses concern over preservation measures of the Sanga meat, urging that the alleged used preservatives may turn poisonous to the consumers basing on the time it spends on transit and circumstances that surround its sale.
The bishop urges the populace to shun such contaminated meat since it poses a serious health risk to them.
The prelate instead advises the population to make changes in their diet and adopt to feasting on vegetables which are in most cases not only cheaper but also healthier.
He also appealed to the traders dealing in the sale of such a meat to consider venturing in other viable businesses warning that the church will not just watch and witness her believers die at the expense of a few traders intending to profiteer from the hazardous meat. The Prelate adds: …
